COLLECTOR'S CHOICE: I have been enjoying new year-by-year hit song short reels on meta and when one of them played this band's big hit from my distant youth, "Gimme Gimme Good Lovin'' I instantly had to find it on youtube and post for you all. And, it turns out, there are some truly punk rock in feel type songs like 'In A Castle' from a radio broadcast that got me thinking of old frat rock punk. These are excellent songs like 'Space Buggy' or 'Sunshine, Red Wine' just in time for the holiday. Enjoy!

This is one of those Jerry Kasenetz and Jeff Katz bubblegum creations. At the time they claimed it was a bunch of Welsh coal miners who formed a band.
Track 20 (Dark Part of My Mind) was also released by Captain Groovy And His Bubblegum Army, or more correctly the first 3:12 of the B-side of their single matches T20 note for note. Not that T12 differs in any significant way.
Of course the explanation is that Kasenetz-Katz basically recycled recordings as they saw fit crediting them to different names to get more income.
I've never seen this full length version previously. The Captain Groovy single is longer than the Crazy Elephant T12 but fades out at 3:12. So this is a definite find.
Incidentally "There Ain't No Umbopo" features Kevin Godley on vocals, backed by (I think) at least one other member of 10cc. (Pre Rubber Bullets obviously)
