Paul Ngozi - Viva Ngozi [Zamrock!]CD 76 -cc

COLLECTOR'S CHOICE:   This is one I had on the back shelf but mentioned to Nathan Nothin on his recent Zamrock post you could search that word over there he is on blogroll under Nothin' Says Somethin' but I had to clear up the pops which I did this weekend.  Just a smokin' Zamrock release!   Here is the Discogs:  Real Name:

Paul Dobson Nyirongo

Profile:  Born: January 10, 1949 (Lusaka, Zambia)

Died: 1989 (Lusaka, Zambia)

Lead guitarist, vocalist, composer and frontman.

Ngozi's first band was The Scorpions in Livingsone with Ngozi on guitar, Chrissy Zebby Tembo on drums and Tommy Mwale on bass.

In 1975 Brian Chengala enticed him into joining The "Mighty" Musi O Tunya Band to replace Rikki Ililonga on lead guitar where he stayed playing and recording for a year.

Back home he linked up with Chrissy and Tommy and revived their musical partnership under a new name the Three Years Before. They recruited Peter Bwalya on rhythm guitar and the band changed name to Ngozi Family. In the early 1980's his output shifted from rock to kalindula along with many of his contemporaries. Paul Ngozi had an active solo career in addition to his work with Ngozi Family, releasing several solo albums and singles. He was active well into the late 80's until he passed away in 1989.

VA - ETHIOPIAN Modern Instrumentals Hits CD 72 03 - cc

TOP 100 RARE LIST:  Second to last post for this series which is really an odd list more than accurate like why did they only list the Misfits Legacy album when the Horror Business 7 in black vinyl only had 5 made and the yellow vinyl which I have was much more common and not rare.  Anyhoo, I digress, most of these bands are weird letters so not going to list them.  Enjoy!

MUHAMMAD ALI in THE GREATEST OST LP 77

I pulled out this recent find that I had bought for the MANDRILL tunes for St. Patrick's Day as it seemed to make sense and it really is a great album.  Goes with the Cut's below as side theme.  George Benson sings the main tune not Stevie.   https://krakenfiles.com/view/BUaJhasVZS/file.html
