 Another one from the FUNKMYROCK list with the first picture shown of the 1977 album.  I went fetch over at youtube to get the rest and picked a handful of the complete covers I included for all their releases...such as Lollipop Lips their first big hit and the interesting song title which you may not see these days called Naked When You Come.  Per Discogs:  Danish 60's pop trio with major success as teenagers in the 60's and moderate success as more adult oriented pop act in their 2nd run in the 70's.

Founded 1960 by brothers Torben and Jørgen Lundgreen with uncle Poul Petersen in 1960, when they were 10, 9 and 12 years old respectively. After winning a teen-talent competition i Denmark they experienced success in gigs at the Swedish folk park concerts in the mid 60's. In Denmark the trio saw teen hysteria normally reserved for the major foreign acts of the era, like The Beatles.

Drummer Poul Petersen left the band in 1966 and was replaced by Henrik Lund. With two guitars and drums only in the band, Lollipops were joined on stage by various bassists, a.o. Stig Kreutzfeldt. After years of extreme success by Danish standards in 1971 the band had lost it's appeal and the band decided to end the first era. The bands major hit in that era was the 1967 Sussy Moore. The song was very alike to and even adapted it's title from the lyrics of Tim Hardin's "Lady Came From Baltimore". Hardins rights holders subpoenaed for copyright violation, and reportedly the case was discretely settled.

The band was revived in 1973 and in the following years sought and found adult MOR success. Lund left in 1977 and the band essentially was a Lundgreen brothers duo accompanied by various on bass and drums. This second run lasted until the mid 80's and included a few failed attempts at winning the Danish section of the European Song Contest.

The band had a short and final 3rd run as a sextet, releasing their final album in 1989. The final line up, sometimes referred to as "The New Lollipops", included the Lundgren brothers and Kim Gutman (guitar), Søren Berlev (drums), Chris Paulsen (bass) and Birdie Hurns (guitar).

Pan - st CDr 70

 WoW what a cool suggestion from our friend Josef (Austria) [be sure to thank him now and then...I don't need it as this is my personal rolodex (just prevented me from a double buy at Goodwill last night on way home from work)].  Per Discogs: Pan is a psychedelic/progressive/blues rock band from Copenhagen, Capital Region of Denmark, Denmark, that was formed in 1969.

The band was consisting of musicians Robert Lelievre, Thomas Puggaard-Müller, Henning Verner, Arne Würgler, Michael Puggaard-Müller, and in the group's 2nd incarnation: Jens Elbøl, Torben Enghoff, and Nils Tuxen. Several of these musicians are still playing regular live shows in various different bands, such as Troels Jensen & Kenn Lending Blues Band, Somanden Og Stjernerne, and Survivors.

CLARE TORRY - HEAVEN IN THE SKY CD 06 w TV2 LP 87

I think I got bamboozled as the TV2 band was supposed to have a couple really good Clare songs but I only heard her once barely as backup but maybe I was distracted?  At any rate, I got last copy of the CD on Discogs after Jokonky blogspot had posted about Chrissie Hynde.  Enjoy!

Blues Addicts - st CD 70 -cc

COLLECTOR'S CHOICE:  Per Discogs:  Danish Jimi Hendrix inspired acid/garage rock group. Founded as Bawdy Male Section in the mid sixties. Released their only album on Spectator Records in 1970.

Later, in the final line up, Carsten Valentin Jørgensen became part of the band. Some of his earliest songs appears in early 70's Blues Addicts demos and the band eventually evolved into the first version of his backing band C. V. Jørgensen.

Alrunes Rod - Alrune Rod CD 69 -cc

COLLECTOR'S CHOICE:  Per Discogs:  Alrune Rod ("Mandrake Root") is a Danish, psychedelic/progressive rock group that existed between 1968 and March 1975. They were originally called Alrunes Rod on their first single, the 1969 7" Pigen på stranden ("The Girl On the Beach"), as well as their 1969 selftited album debut. Leader was Leif Roden (1948-2010), creating the major part of the band's material.

Alrune Rod disbanded in 1975, but was reformed in the 00's with original members Leif Roden, Mikael Miller and Ole Poulsen.

The Kiddie Playhouse & Orch. - An Hour Of Fairy Tales Of Hans Christian Andersen LP 57

 I think this is why my mom loved Danny Kaye so much is from the movie he did about Hans Christian Andersen and this album has great voices doing six of his best:  Red Shoes, The Ugly Duckling, The Emperor's New Clothes, Snow Queen, The Tinder Box and Little Tiny.  A little blurb about Hans:

 REPOST Request:  A couple of familiar songs here confirming that this Dutch group had big international success.   Here is what one comment said:  At least one-third of their songs are awesome, power pop with actual hooks, and laugh-out-loud funny with English lyrics with one man and two good women singers.  Well for comparison above is another Dutch group who don't sing in English.
