Profile: American soul singer. Born on September 7th, 1939, in Charleston, Tennessee (USA). Died on August 22nd, 2026, at 86. Latimore's first professional experience came as a pianist for various Florida-based groups including Joe Henderson and Steve Alaimo before securing a contract with the Dade Records and Glades labels of Florida under the name Benny Latimore. He signed with Malaco Records in 1982 and released 7 modern soul albums.
