REPOST and ADD ON:  Josef (Austria) has been steering me around the tricky 'Country Rock' genre and after recently posting this band's 1981 album, let me know their first was something special and it sure is!  The Discogs say this:  Country rock group from the Chicago area. "Too Tall to Boogie" and "100 Years" got a fair amount of airplay on WXRT at the time.  And Josef reminded me the origin of their name:  A cheap discog order adder I took a chance on.  Here is the Discogs:  The Ouray people are historically linked to Chief Ouray (c. 1833–1880), a prominent leader of the Tabeguache (Uncompahgre) band of the Ute Nation. The Ute people are the oldest continuous residents of Colorado, and their heritage is tied to the city and the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation in Utah.  Chief Ouray spoke multiple languages and worked to negotiate fairly with the U.S. government and white settlers.  U.S. Recognition: The federal government designated him the "Head Chief of the Utes," though traditional Ute governance relied on independent band leaders.  Chipeta: His wife, Chipeta, was an influential leader and diplomat who also advocated for the welfare of the Ute people. Name Origin: Ouray means "Arrow" in the Ute language. The town of Ouray, Colorado, is named in his honor.
