VA - CAPITOL RECORDS NEW MUSIC SAMPLER tape 88

Quite a cool compilation and includes one of those blissful Cocteau Twins tracks from last week in Carolyn's Fingers as encore to that post.  Left up the details about the artists on the flipside of the tape cover so you can read about their origins--some of which I had forgotten like Richard Thompson was from Fairport Convention.  It looks like the whole compilation was a labor of love by Marshall Crenshaw who plays on the track by The Thieves.  Other artists include:  Johnny Clegg & Savuka (remember the Juluka post we liked??  Well this is later band that would be good to pursue), Faron Young, Martin Stephenson and the Daintees, The Reivers, The Go-Betweens, Marc Almond, Lloyd Cole & The Commotions, and none other than Skinny Puppy...Hooray!!
