RANDY PIE - Kitsch LP 76 w Fast bw Forward LP 77

REPOST Request:  You might call them the 'German Steely Dan' and here is what Discogs says:  Formed by Dicky Tarrach, and mostly originating as ex-members of the pop group The Rattles (WoW didn't know this have posted this band and loved what they did), they started as the rock 'n' soul band Randy Pie & Family.

Many of the musicians in Randy Pie were also involved in the experimental rock albums of Achim Reichel. Bassist Manfred Thiers had come from the hard-rock progressive band Gash. Their debut album contained a wide-ranging collection of prog, blues and fusion tracks, whereas subsequent albums veered towards soul and funk.

Would you believe the vocalist on 'Fast Forward' is Leafhound (best Led Zeppelin sounding band you never heard but post should still be up as was 'Collector's Choice' which should all be on Bestfile), Atomic Rooster & Cactus singer Pete French.
Surprisingly, his 1978 solo release 'Ducks In Flight' sounds very much like 'Fast Forward' which you wouldn't expect from him having Thin Lizzy, Faces & The Who members playing on it.
