VA - SOUL DIRECTION LP 68

After giving time to sink in for that cover by the band THUS last week of an old favorite Isaac Hayes vinyl tune I had called 'Walk On By', I pull out this with two more covers in a similar soul vein starting out side A with 'Stone Soul Picnic by Johnny Johnson And The Bandwagon and ending side B with the Chambers Brothers doing a devil is dope cover of "In The Midnight Hour'.  Other bands:  Inez & Charlie Fox, Taj Mahal, Pretty Purdie, The Tymes, Ray King Soul Band, Sly & The Family Stone, Peaches & Herb, The Glories and Cliff Nobles And Co.  After adding this for a couple bucks to a Discogs order, I searched after hearing it and found two more similar early soul compilations that are one the way and I will add this to those since all by the same new label to me called DIRECTION.
