JULUKA - SCATTERLINGS LP 82

Since the cover of this Goodwill find is kind of hard to read, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this is the band I highlighted out and gave praise to as did Jonder in the comments when I had posted the Warner Brothers compilation:  VA - If The Shoe Fits....Hear It LP 82 83 from start of this year!!!  Per Discogs:  Juluka was a South African band formed by Johnny Clegg and Sipho Mchunu. Juluka means "sweat" in Zulu, and was the name of a bull owned by Mchunu. The band was closely associated with the mass movement against apartheid.  Search the word 'Haiti' over at Nathan Nothin's blogspot in search bar there:  http://nathannothinsez.blogspot.com/ to get the skinny on the history of this music and the Yoruban drums originating on the coastal region of West Africa and right now he is on his third 4AD record label post (LUSH post below) with all the early singles and albums I am missing from many bands I have posted in the past.

Interested to hear this. The title track "Scatterlings of Africa" was a pretty big college-radio hit (if that's not a contradiction in terms). The song later appeared in the movie Rain Man, but a new version by lead singer Johnny Clegg with a different band.

Also forgot to mention for bloggin' brother Nathan to search in his upper left search bar while there the word "Haiti" to see his post on the history of Yoruban drums--the source of this music--from the coastal region of West Africa and Voodun to the fascinating history to go with this post. He definitely got my back on this one y'all!
