The Weirdos - Demo 77 07 w Destroy All Music 7 77 w Solitary Confinement 7 78 w WhoWhatWhereWhy MLP 79 w Action-Design EP 80 w Condor Demo & LP 90 w Message From The Underworld LIVE LP

REPOST Request:  A last minute repost for BrokenDoll from L.A. I see now where I saw them (moved what I wrote last time to the comments) and for her a nice adddition of the live album I had in my deep dark old blog downloads storage that I hadn't even opened up yet...funny that the one song that wouldn't extract from the WINRAR was called 'It Mean's Nothing'..ironic as Dix Denney sure meant a lot to a lot of people (R.I.P.).

REPOST: Dix Denney the guitarist just past away last week sadly and so am posting this again per the comment. Here is what I wrote before: One of the smart early punk bands from Los Angeles. 2003, the year I lived/worked in Los Angeles and got to see all my old favorite bands they played an incredible show with the Diffs and the Skulls opening for them. My buddy from MN chose that weekend to visit me and we grabbed a gal each and put them on our shoulders and chicken fought each other in the pit while they played one of my favorite songs, Solitary Confinement which is included here. Bomp! label has a great colored vinyl release out of the early stuff to look for so snatch it up if you see it!

Was that show at the Showcase Theatre in Corana? I was there. I've seen them in many incarnations over the years and always bring it.

A much better venue...The El Rey. Probably why I don't remember seeing the Diffs but definitely remember the Skulls.
Anyways thanks for your hard work & always bringing joy and fuzzy/warm memories of the past.
Sorry to throw in a request...but do you happen to have the C2D retrospective GTA put out years ago? Or Detox's 2nd LP?

Hi caker,
I don't have the Weirdos 2CD retrospective on GTA. For DETOX I have the st LP 85 and the ALBUM LP 88. Can you help me find an earlier live release of theirs that I used to have from another blog--I think the old punknotprofit or else KBD blog or GoodBadMusic blog. It has a really long song like the 88 LP with the singer doing these long drawn out screeches..it total kills on any of the studio stuff here. I think I gave the CD I have made of it to an old friend but didn't know I was missing the electronic file at the time. I have no idea what it is called. Can anyone help to I.D. this release? Then I can post all three later here.
Thanks for the comment caker! (UPDATE VIACOM FOUND THIS BEER EP)

Aw, man! Dix was great in The Weirdos as well as Thelonious Monster. I didn't realize that his mom played Mike Teevee's mother in the original Willie Wonka movie!
