REPOST Request: Well I guess I should have posted this first today right after the CASABLANCA lead post from last week as I mentioned later that they both do a 'Little Indians' song and are from the same period. I don't know if the other band ever opened for HAWKWIND and other major psyche bands in U.K. like Linda did though. Per Angsty's comment she blows away Mariah Carey.

My favorite is Not A Little Girl Anymore that I got for a quarter and the first I heard her made a tape for my little sister along with Taj Mahal, Main Ingredient and other .$0.25 soul music I was finding at Cheapo during college days would have big stack on the bus ride back to the dorms or to folks in burbs later on to save money

This lady can seriously sing. To hell with Mariah Carey -- I find her music bland, flat and boring. I'd much rather listen to Linda! And when it comes to those super-high notes, nobody could sing them like Minnie Riperton. The chorus of "Lovin' You" .... man, hearing that can STILL give me chills. What a voice.
