RICHARD SUPA - LIFE LINES LP 76 w TALL TALES LP 78 w MAN [U.S.A.] - st LP 69 w SUPA - Supa's Jamboree CD 71 w

REPOSTED 12-4-25 (added the two SUPA albums from youtube):  Per Discogs:

Real Name:  Richard Goodman  Profile:

Guitarist and singer/songwriter (ASCAP IPI #: 61383490), known for his unusual and unique tenor vocals. Briefly lead singer and guitarist with East Coast rock band Man, which broke up after the release of their self titled 1969 album. He went on to create a career for himself as a session player and songwriter, releasing four solo albums between 1971 and 1978; his song “Chip Away The Stone” has been covered by Aerosmith and Humble Pie among others.

Man were a East Coast 60's Rock Band consisting of Richard Supa (lead guitar, acoustic guitar, vocals), Dennis Belline (rhythm guitar, piano, vocals), Richie Cardenas (bass, vocals), Gilbert Slavin (organ, piano, harpsichord, flute) and Antony Krasinski (drums, percussion, harmonica).

At the time Man fitted perfectly into the whole college campus coffee house scene, as FM, free form, Rock album radio was still in its infancy, so timing of the album release was ideal. Their 1969, self titled endeavor, produced by Bob Johnston and engineered by Neil Wilburn, showed a high degree of imagination, with harmonious and memorable vocals supplied by their unusual and unique tenor Supa. Unfortunately, despite this, the band never jelled together and after releasing their debut album, which escaped the attention of the masses, they decided to break up.

Richard Supa went onto a career as a session player and songwriter. His song “Chip Away The Stone” has been covered by Aerosmith and Humble Pie among others. Supa also released four solo albums between 1971 and 1978.
