Shoot - On The Frontier LP 73
REPOST and BETTER RIP: See new elliptical method below. Well shoot!! (as my old mechanic used to say) this Pink Floydish jam band from sketchy label EMI really deserves the best presentation I can give it. For 1973 with opener sounding like Pink Floyd (my cousin in TX says their local BRIT FLOYD is on tour now and I hope to see them on magic day FEBRUARY 29th) then start singing about NEON LIFE well you know you are in for a treat. Then 'Ships and Sails' really start moving as next song 'Living Blind' hits home to 'On The Frontier' then 'The Boogie' to finish side one. Side 2 is just as good with 'Midnight Train' opening in long jam then 'Head Under Water' with Eastern sound short instrumental to 'Sepia Sister' more Floydish 'Summer sings there's better things to come come come, Winter winds the harder times are done done done' then comes 'Old Time Religion' which is a huge boxset I am waiting to rip from Good Will is a blueprint for our times 'she's fallin' so hard' and then related song 'Mean Customer' takes the cake. Play loud and get on the dance floor! Per the comment this is Dave Green on guitar ( Rawmaterial ) and Jim McCarty, drums ( Yardbirds )
