The singer in this band was Jimi Jamison who sang for the band Cobra after his time with Target. The original Survivor singer who sang Eye Of The Tiger was Dave Bickler. Jamison replaced Bickler for Survivor's 1984 release Vital Signs.

I fear the Survivor connection you mentioned will scare many away from trying these albums out. Target were more of a traditional Southern Rock band, but with more of an ear for radio play. Instead of that Survivor comparison, imagine a cross between Bad Company & 38 Special for a more accurate idea of how they sounded.
Both Target albums were re-released in remastered form with live bonus tracks last year by the specialist Rock Candy Records label & their previously unreleased 3rd album, 'In Range' finally emerged earlier this year on Escape Music Records.
Jamison also fronted the rather nifty Cobra between his stints in Target & Survivor. Their lone LP 'Ready To Strike' is well worth a listen, classy Hard Rock.
