Now these guys were one of the local bands when I was running around the clubs. Originally called wonderland, Record company wants a name change so went with transluxx, unfortunately another band at the time had the same name so on to 3-d. They were a little harder edged but the cars were real popular at the time so once again pressure from the record company rules. And one more thing, they were to perform 2songs on saturday night live but the night of the show. Paul McCartney made an unscheduled appearance so it was cut back to one song. Anyway, love your blog. Been working my way backwards to the older posts so I expect you'll be hearing from me soon.

Your blog is superb. Would you be able to repost this 3-D link again? I always loved "All Night Television" and "X-Ray Eyes."

Thankfully, there's this live audio to remind people how great they were live — before being turned into rinky-dink new-wavers. Still a certain amount of train-jumping here, though. As I recall, the keyboard player had previously been with Loudon Wainwright III..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZZZWwYye7E
