DEPO PROVERA - Totally Useless LP 86 w Liquid Personality 7 89

REPOST and NEW RIP:  Just ripped the album for the first time last night.  Before I had posted a cassette rip that kind of sucked.  I used to play this as loud as I could in my bed room at the folk's house along with my other 'loudest' vinyl like Rapeman's Dutch Courage, 45 Grave's Partytime EP, Rapeman's Steak and Black Onions, Agent Orange's Living in Darkness to name a few of my loudest vinyl.  I have had this over a year and it hit the spot this week for sure.  From Green Bay, WI.  Gotta say the singer sure sounds like Bill Paxton (R.I.P.) a little bit.

JETPACK - PLANET REVERB CD 00

 Got this one from a real nice surf and clothing store in Los Angeles area right after I moved there in 2002/2003 for a year.  In related that year got to see Agent Orange and Dick Dale play a special show at a surf museum somewhere near Van Nuys where I remember seeing a mountain lion on the way home!  Top notch surf instrumentals.

LANGUAGE CLUB - Babel bw Conversations LP 86

How about that, I had this band ready to rip and I got a comment on one of my 80's Gig flyers groupings I had uploaded the other day on facebook that was for Agent Orange/GONE and this opener band from MN.  The comment was from Mike Palm the lead singer of AO who commented on how good the GONE set was and I also remembered this, so I told him I was going to post this.

This early Boston punk 7 comp. series (any GOT more??) kind of 'stuck' to my Agent Orange 7's when I was pulling them out so I thought I would give it a fresh rip.  The song 'Babble' is a cover by famous Boston band ala Husker Du (named after a "Do You Remember" board game) named 'Moving Targets' who have finally got some recognition.  I also love the Boston bands the Flies (Bob Dylan vocals upped several notches), Dogmatics (MTV O.D. classic song), Classic Ruins and the Velvet Underground built up their following there...great town!

Found the first release to add to my previous post of the second album.  This one dedicated to Mike Palm, singer from Agent Orange who is currently visiting Hawaii (his photo's posted below) and also to Jack Grisham from T.S.O.L. who went first to Hawaii a month ago and now is on the way to Europe for a short tour with the band...both bands are favorites of mine from an early age and Miserlou which AO famously covered is on the first album.

 Loved the cover on this Goodwill find and the music is very Arabesque exotica per my last week mini theme.  When I heard them play 'Miserlou' after knowing for years the Agent Orange cover version, it gave me one of those 'Ah-Hah moments' that OF COURSE that song sounds great as Arabesque!!
