MICHAEL McDONALD - That Was Then The Early Recordings LP 72 82 w No Looking Back LP 85 w The Very Best Of CD 01
REPOST and ADD ON: Found out I also had the 1985 album and so replaced some of the Best of CD songs with vinyl versions. Musicians who played with him says he has an intuit feel for the music from a strong background in Motown type R&B. Thanks to ClassicMusic20 for suggesting the early vinyl.

HUEY LEWIS AND THE NEWS - st cassette 80 w Sports LP 83 w Four Chords and Several Years Ago CD 94
REPOST and ADD ON: Added the crucial album 'Sports' which had all the hits on it to the CD I had posted before. Also added the first album as a cassette I had found at Goodwill, however, it had some slight warped areas but I was really curious to hear it. Someone in my facebook vinyl group posted a picture of 'Sports' last week and said he wasn't going to break the seal on it. I reminded me I had it in good shape from Goodwill and also sadly, that Huey had lost his hearing and had to retire from music.

A big thanks to ClassicMusic20 for sending in the 'Glass Heart' rip and requesting the first self-titled album that I got for cheap. He is Charly Rich's son--see post right below.

David Townsend - MAKING UP THE NUMBERS LP 78
A British vocalist and writer who worked for the Alan Parsons Project. In searching about him, I found out on the TAPP album 'Eve' he has sang with my recent post Lesley Duncan as well as Clare Torry and both of them had sang on Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon with Clare's improvised solo made famous on 'Great Gig in the Sky"!! You KNOW which part like I did right away. Thanks to ClassicMusic20 for the suggestion/request.

COOPER BROTHERS - st LP 78
Probably were the only Canadian (Ottawa) band on the old Southern Rock only Capricorn record label. Their song on this album (they have one more worth getting I think) called "The Dream Never Dies" earned an ASCAP award as one of the most performed songs on U.S. radio in 1980 among other awards. https://gofile.io/d/5CISI2

John Philip Sousa - The March King CD w Sousa's Greatest Hits & Some That Should Have Been CD 99 w The Royal Marines - The Very Best Of CD 90
Part of my delayed 4th of July post after I had found some missing groups I had set aside. I lumped these best of the best marches together. Our local fireworks park has a band named after JPS and have played every year since I can remember and still do up in MN. One year, in my first house neighborhood, I found out two doors down was the band leader's classic old house where he lived all these years and was invited over to see his antiques like an old steel carriage in his living room and a Model T Ford in the garage he took out time to time that I had remembered seeing drive by my front porch of my 1920's ballroom yellow house by the creek. https://gofile.io/d/CHDvfK
JOE GLAZER - Folk Songs of The American Dream CD 94 w The Music of American Politics CD 97
Part of my belated 4th of July post. This does some great historic folk songs and campaign jingles. The political songs were not listed correctly on the CD so I had to add a title 'Slogans' and change a couple from the order they were listed on the CD. https://gofile.io/d/D8Kh6o

Civil War Guitar - Campfire Memories LP 83 w VA - The Civil War CD 98
I lumped these together as they had the common theme. Part of my catching up to some buried 4th of July posts I had missed a couple weeks ago--might as well make it a month long celebration! The compilation includes: Charlie Daniels, Travis Tritt, Deana Carter, Gene Miller, Trace Adkins, Bebe Winans, Brtyan White and Amy Grant, Shiloh, Kevin Sharp, Linda Eder, Michael English, Trisha Yearwood and John Berry. https://gofile.io/d/5fhDG7

The Chipmunks - 20 All-Time Golden Greats LP 82 w Urban Chipmunk LP 81
Don't blame me or Alvin, I think it was Jonder over at Jonderblog that requested this one (or maybe he had a line through it...LOL) on one of his awesome Dave Alvin or Alex Chilton recent posts. The later one has Jerry Reed reprising the classic straight man role but this album was kind of beat up.

REPOST Request: Well the Wiki write-up on this band calls them a cross between the Byrds and Jefferson Airplane. Obviously I am missing a whole bunch of their sixties releases since they started in 1964. The greatest hits double album on the bottom was only worth getting for one long (9 minutes plus) great song only found on it called 'Blue Angel'. Rick Derringer on this also.

SIS Q LINT - PRE-NEED EP 84
REPOST Request: I could not find my original file of this put captured it from youtube. Once I heard the pops on it I remembered them from before somehow and then totally cleaned the file to make nice and quiet. I think you will enjoy and if anyone has the 7 inch it too is over a hundred bucks to get! Reminds me of recent band that is quickly rising to stardom from U.K. called 'Wet Leg' who I first heard from Dangerous Mind's post about how he played the 'Chaise Lounge' video over and over.
Speaking of remastering files, I had to redo the following:
Roger Whittaker (I sometime miss groove wear use circular when elliptical will remedy somewhat).
Lesley Duncan (groove wear fixed)
The Archers (groove wear fixed)
Chocolate Paintbox (found out as cheap CD company with too low signal, normalized wave form function used, added some software boost and also used anti-hissing from tapes and anti-noise for random sounds) really is a great album!! (they used to call me a 'blind man' when I was right-brain dominant for 10 years from riding a crooked bike so that song appealed to me!)
