REPOST and ADD ON:  Turns out I had his hit album with the mega hit 'Wildfire' to add to this post.  This is probably the last post in this mellow rock series but you never know I may have another album tucked away somewheres.  What I wrote last time:  Well, shucks here's the guy who wrote Meri Wilson's million seller tune right below this post called 'Telephone Man' as well as Monkees hits for his old Texas buddy Michael Nesmith and many others.  In fact he wrote the New Mexico state ballad 'The Land Of Enchantment" as well as led the Outlaw country movement.  I tacked on that song and 'Wildfire' from past compilations like 'Desperado Best of Country Rock' from a recent post.
