HARRY PARTCH - Plectra & Percussion Dances CD 53 -cc w The World Of...LP w Delusion of the Fury 2LP 71

COLLECTOR'S CHOICE:  Well, since I had posted him long ago and rip sounded so damn good, I just tacked on to the end of the songs the 'collector's choice' posting from the other group I get these from for his 1953 album called "Plectra & Percussion Dances".  Per Discogs:  Harry Partch (born June 24, 1901 in Oakland, California, USA – died September 3, 1974, Encinitas, California, USA) was one of the first composers in the West to work systematically with microtonal scales, he also invented and built instruments on which to play his compositions.

Harry made most all of his instruments himself, by hand, one at a time. They're certainly odd and very rare these days. I like the track Barstow off the 'World of' album with the hitch hicker graffiti as lyrics. Things haven't changed all that much.
