 After my coworker informed me last Monday of Barry Gibb's death, I decided it was time to harvest all my Goodwill cheapo finds over a couple of decades (going during lunch break at work) of Barbra Streisand's best via the collective source it seems as all are top notch and I remembered that she had done an album with Barry Gibb.  Twas quite a chore but I had help to fill in most of the missing at this blog (which also I missed a couple 2010 listed there, live and a couple more you can get since they didn't zip up but with errors so left out) as link two (https://musicmaniamachine.blogspot.com/2018/11/barbra-streisand-discography.html .  At any rate I sorted all the vinyl and my CD's as well and was really thrilled how it turned out (she sounded like Bjork on one song and some others as other familiar voices) but the core city stuff like Central Park and the early Broadway/Movie stuff goes well together while the CD's I have not heard yet but look to fit perfectly as best stuff.  Also, took the time to repost a few Megapost's of her friends in below short links leaving up the original posts.  Found four more to add to the previous Cat Stevens and the extra Harold & Maude bonus tracks.  Enjoy!

Definitely some of Barbara's best that she released on Homestead. Wait... That doesn't sound right. I think I preemptively commented on a different post.
Hmmm..... Maybe this would be a good time to catch up on some musicals. Thanks!

Ha ha thanks Hawksmort and I will also give you a nod for mentioning the compilation I didn't have and now ready to rip when I finish with the Homestead....took a whole day (at work in between calls, etc.) to organize my Bad Brains and add to my old Big Black....next is Dinosaur, Jr. and it is an absolute bear to organize so many folders. Naked Raygun a lot of folders to relabel as well per my style that is easier to move all songs in a discog at once. The one band I didn't have already from my old rips and my old 'blogging' folder from other blogs was American Music Club although I've seen them a few times at First Ave since they were all that back then,. I did have them but the last two years of downloads from blogs is on the fritz since that external drive shows I have the data but folder shows blank from pulling malfunctioning drive in middle of it's shitfit. I did manage to get my laptop that I use for CD rips and moving files (away from ripping PC) to have its screen lite up again as it went off while I was doing a 3 week 'file fix' to find those blog files that were missing when I finally pulled the plug on that honky-tonk operation as I was 'feeling' that the drive was still running then it stopped one day. Turned out those three weeks still didn't do the trick so I have two more options: I have old software made for finding 'lost' files on a hard drive that has worked before but have to find it on perhaps my other failed drive and 2) take to local PC shop that can rescue these two drives. Key is my ripping PC is offline and still new Windows 7 that was another headache to replace when old PC from start finally cashed two years ago in February. Numark record player that I have used since day one also has wonky big square shallow on/off button that you have to hit just right for the phono to spin. Ah the joys of being a degreed engineering troubleshooter:>}

Update: Today I got the Dinosaur, Jr. WINRAR completed with every single song that is on discogs plus peel and live all labeled into separate lists like I have done in the past. Also, just unzipped all 91 files for GG Allin (some are doubles so I pick the best ones and will separate live & studio and band names. I may have to fill in some other bands from youtube/blogs. I might skip AMC altogether....we'll see if any ghosters will help.

I admire and sympathize with your completionist approach. I back everything up at least two places on a variety of hard drives because I'm always paranoid I'll lose something (I lost my first hard drive several years ago and had practically nothing backed up). I've not ventured into uploading records into a digital medium. That's an awful lot of commitment. Same thing with tapes. I don't have a lot of AMC stuff, but here is what I have. I'll leave it up for a bit but it's taking up a lot of my proton space.

WoW Thanks Hawksmort, those AMC files will do nicely for the post. Yeah, I also have multiple back up drives and for my rips I have additional back ups: mp3 back up folders (25 GB each), the WinRAR files (backed up with each new hard drive) and the lossless WAV files I record as (same as store CD's at 1411 kilo bits per sec which is 176.4 kilobytes/sec -- 8 bits in a byte -- MP3's 320 kbps = 40 KB/sec). I do have a back up on maybe the first year of that blank folder but the last year or so had not back it up yet as a new drive. Just takes to long to do double back up every time. I'm confident I can get them since I have used that software before to find lost files...we'll see. Thanks Again.
