Well pulling out my Goodwill stash of this great artist a little early for the Al Kooper main post since it was Al's hit song 'The Diamond Ring' that propelled the band into the charts. However, Al had said he wished a band like The Drifters would have done it better. I liked these albums but wanting more of the later stuff. Per Discogs: Pop rock group discovered performing at Disneyland in 1964 by Snuff Garrett who, with arrangements provided by Leon Russell, produced a string of Top 10 hits throughout the mid 1960's. Members included
Gary Lewis (drummer, lead vocals and the son of actor/comedian Jerry Lewis (3)),
David Walker (guitar),
Allan Ramsey (bass, born, July 27, 1943 – died, November 27, 1985),
David Costell (guitar), and
John West (electronic accordion).
