BUCKWHEAT ZYDECO - On A Night Like This LP 87 w Where There's Smoke There's Fire LP 90 w Taking It Home CD 88
REPOST for BOBBY WHITLOCK TRIBUTE POSTS 2 of 3: Still remember the late night show I was introduced to Zydeco music from Louisiana when he played with Eric Clapton on the 'Bee Dubbaya" as Bobby calls himself above tune per comment right below going to use it again: The bonus tune 'Why Does Love Got To Be So Bad' I heard and saw for the first time on a late night show with Eric and Buckwheat Zydeco singing this breakout cover tune for Zydeco. After that he got huge and I saw him tour many times (cause it is top dance music IMO) as well as C.J. Chenier and others following in the Zydeco revival that occurred and this is why I like Clapton in addition to Voodoo Chile he helped with Jimi. Also when asked what it is like to be the best guitarist in the world he said, "I don't know, you would have to ask Prince". Wow, what a great person!

Thanks for this (I own the LP's, but they are in storage for many years). I am looking forward to listen to this great recordings again, especially as I am sad to hear that Stanley "Buckwheat" Dural Jr. aged 68 died following a battle with lung cancer on September 25 2016!
