THE WATERS - st LP 75 w To Be There 7 75 w st CD 77 10 w Watercolors CD 80 14 w Welcome Home LP 88
REPOST FOR WAH WAH WATSON: Reposting this family vocal group from Los Angeles since they played in the main post this week for Wah Wah Watson. Here are the family members: Julia Tillman Waters, Luther Waters, Maxine Willard Waters, Oren Waters. Also re-upped my Brothers Johnson solo EP post (my little brother swiped what I had long ago when he was fixated on Louis Johnson's bass techniques he was learning at the time and kept my quarter vinyls from Cheapo!). Quite a funky bunch with water sounds between songs on the Blue Note debut! Thanks to ClassicMusic20 for extra.

By the way, They are the most used background singers in so many songs and worked with many artists of different genres of music (Like Lionel Richie, Michael Jackson, Guns N' Roses, REO Speedwagon, Gino Vannelli, Neil Diamond, David Cassidy, It goes on!) But Oren Waters (in all interviews) seems to exaggerate about themselves (saying things like "We've sang on "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" the most played song in the history of radio (It was until it was surpassed by the Police's "Every Breath You Take") we've sang the backgrounds on the Jeffersons theme, the longest running show in the history of Television (it didn't ran that long, it only ran 11 seasons, Ozzie & Harriet ran more and Gunsmoke ran for 20 seasons for 20 years!) "We've sang on Thriller, the biggest selling album in the history of music and we've sang on Avatar, the highest grossing movie in the history of box offices")
