Well, I thought I would feature this fine vinyl--the kind we like at the DU blog with the 'bouquet of frequencies' as I put it in order to highlight that the last 2 weeks of posting and 3 months no computer has finally, yes finally been settled on for the settings going forward. Basically, I thought I was limited to 16 bit sound from my throwback software MAGIX (now only used for editing) but tested and the 24 bit is fine albeit I got computer error on the double album below when side 4 was all fuzz like it couldn't catch up but just a one off. I also watched just one more Audacity (my recording software for Windows 7) tutorial and found that it really did have its own version of software boost--allowing me to turn it up from last week just enough that I turned down my phone pre-amp volume such that I could make it lower and cut out all that typical raspy trebles and surface noise. I redid all the requests I've had with the new PC but left the Oaks album (Elvira was messed up anyways) and Spinners should be fine as well as the first 6 or so I already redid (I might do again in time) and the Bomp! cassettes already have a treble kind of sound like the 16 bit but can revisit someday. For now here is the Discogs on Paul and the new links reposted below: Real Name: Paul Julien André Mauriat

Great Job! Thanks for that you do! It's much appreciated. Mark
Thanks Creator (of DU blog). It was a real battle for awhile to get a working PC to rip with my Magix editing software I was used to and fast with but through a wall of "NO's" I had a singular vision (plus lot's O' vinyl yet to go). Thanks for keeping an eye on us here. Cheers!
