REPOST Request And ADD-ON:  A big thanks to Josef from Austria for prompting me about this legendary band (R.I.P. Mike Hudson) that I saw twice in one day!  My old record store clerk put out the Buried Alive album which revived the band in the late 80's.  Saw them one college afternoon after classes play in the old Northern Lights record store for a short set then later that night at First Avenue in the slam pit for me!  Missing the song Shunyata if anyone gots please leave link in comments.

I have to admit that I really enjoyed this seven inch record a lot. I've only really gotten into this band lately. Boy did I miss out.

Cheers,

Brian Guy

My friend i wrote to you on Kosta's blog about PAGANS. I personally think the Pink album is bad. I recommended Pagans on Resonance Records (77-79). It's really very good (!) and something completely different and no comparison to the Pink album ! What a pity.
I'll soon tell you about another great and little known US punk on Kosta's blog.

Hello there,

thanks very much for all of this absolute great band. First time I heard them on the "Buried alive" compilation, which was great. Yes, the compilation on Resonance Records was also really good and in many songs the same as the later Resonance-compilation. Then - I think it was at the end of the 1980 I found that mini album titled "Family fare". It was a bit different but also great. "I stand alone" was one highlight on the live album "Godlike power of ...". And on family fare, it was the studio version.
But there was one more song, "(Us and) all our friends are so messed up" on "Family fare".
And that song, folks, is ONE of the songs that not much bands are about to do. There is an unbelieveable sound of Mike Hudsons guitar and his voice!! I will never forget.
Many thanks for THE PAGANS.
Mike Hudson's brother Brian Hudson played the drums in THE DROOGS, another great American band.
And on a solo album by Mike Hudson, I think it was titled "Unmedicated" there was a great ballad titled "Brian always said".
I love the sound of THE PAGANS, the singing and guitar playing of Mike Hudson. Sadly he passed away from this world too young (RIP Mike Hudson).
PUNK ROCK HISTORY Indeed!!!

Hey, It's been awhile. I know right now, you are looking for the right PC to rip your albums, since your old one broke on you. But for now, I'm going to send in one request of an album that is pretty hard to get, that you may rip in the nearby future, would you happen to have this one?

Hi Gabe, Long time no speaky. I got a perfect PC with perfect sound card for a hondo or so at ebay with Windows 7 license but cheap ass Windows XP install such that the sound was bad. So got 7 installed and now perfect PC. Now, the big test tonight is another MAGIX (last one on ebay) from original audio cleaning factory unopened 3.0 version like I started doing rips with on my Gateway Big Box size PC with Window 98 that I bought in 2000. Some time around 2014 had issues with install on my small box Gateway Windows 7 (last PC that took a dump on me last month) and installed a boot leg "Magix 2004" that worked up till now which I've since learned only allows one install as it dumps a token that must be read on next install (maybe no PC guys know as they only work on Windows 10 or later) as record button didn't highlight or work and testing an mp3 loaded into it I wasn't given a menu with WAV option but only WMA or something was the one choice so I know it was partial install and guys at shop redid install and no change as they couldn't check it there. Hopefully since a bootleg 2004 software any install residuals won't preclude a new AC LAB official install but I did delete that first install & out of registration, WOW64 files and temp separately per youtube. We'll see. BTW still climbing out of debt and not likely to buy country.
