COLLECTOR'S CHOICE: I had previously slated the Lollipop Shoppe for post in this category for a later date and then our friend Josef from Austria informed me of my grievous error in my omission of the Rats from this blog so I came full circle and added Urban Aspirines blogspot posts of Dead Moon rips to add to my own files and make this post complete. Here is the Discogs info: The Lollipop Shoppe were a 1960s psychedelic garage rock band. They were originally known as The Weeds and featured Fred Cole, later of The Rats, Dead Moon and Pierced Arrows. They tried to avoid the draft by running to Canada, but got stuck in Portland with no money, so they played gigs around town and got known locally. The Rats were a garage punk band from Portland, Oregon, USA, September 1979 to 1984. Formed by Fred Cole (ex The Lollipop Shoppe, pre Dead Moon).

I hope you like this music as much as i do ? I've known all of them for ages. US psych/ punk the best of the best. I can't find THE RATS on any list of the best 100 best punk lps. It leaves you speechless.
Haven't had the time yet, but full post is on my walkman for this whole week and weekend for bicycle rides to work and everywhere else (yes already took off the 40 CD LAPP comp after a full week of listening). I was going to say they are much like the Axe band I introduced you too (never had proper release beyond youtube) with too general of a name making them hard to search for online....but yes before this they should have made some lists like you wrote. The male singing voice reminded me a little of Gerard Boissy from my Rifle Sport post this week who fills out that vocal style completely. Thanks for the recommendation as well as Rubber City Rebels and BIzarros from last punk you told me. CHeers!!!
Dead Moon/etc. One of the best punk(one of the best whatever you want to call it it) band ever..........
