COLLECTOR'S CHOICE: Per Discogs: One of many obscure German rock bands from the 1970's not documented at the time. Action came from the town of Zweibrücken and existed for at least a couple of years. Their LP recorded for Kerston Records in 1972 remained unreleased until 1997.

Thanks, i didn't know Action. Not a masterpiece, but ok. I have hundreds cds of German bands from the 60s & 70s. One of ny favorites is CAROL OF HARVEST.
Yeah, I was digging on Action last night on my headphones very cool stuff. Got Carol of Harvest and listening now--very cool stuff by her and a great year 1978! Sweet Heroin though?
Punk had already caused a stiv in 1978, but not in Nürnberg. Despite being punk, the album CAROL OF HARVEST is an oasis of pastoral splendor, as if time had stood still in the early 70s.
The 16- year- old-singer is remarkable with her warm and melancholic voice.
In 1978, 200 copies were made, all of which were forgotten. The band played a few more gigs, but due to a lack of interest, the band member turned to other lives, not knowing that their album would one day be considered the holy grail of 70s prog/folk.

I also have an old love for this album. Way more depressive than any black metal!
