REPOST Request: Always look back fondly to that first $0.25 War 'Ghetto' classic vinyl being such a magical sound with Cisco Kid (yes my Western TV series 15 CD Boxset happens to have me watching that old classic show last night with Pancho & the Kid in classic form. Yep they are all friends of mine and I will always cherish seeing them in UCLA stadium field in 2003 with Isaac Hayes--another legend in music. Per Discogs: Multi-national R&B/Funk/Latin group, based in Los Angeles, California.
Evolved from a group of musicians previously known as “The Creators”, the “Romeos”, “Señor Soul” and “Nightshift”, and who played the L.A. club circuit. They were discovered and promoted by Jerry Goldstein who linked up the musicians with frontman and vocalist Eric Burdon and harmonica player Lee Oskar. In 1970 they released their first album, “Eric Burdon Declares War”. After Burdon departed in 1971, the group continued performing and recording as War. This band is epic, enjoy!!! (3 fingers and a smile).

The 2003 War was Lonnie Jordan and some hired musicians. The original manager owns the rights to the name, and basically keeps the rest of the band from using it. It's sad. The rest of the band still tear up stages as The Low Rider Band. Well worth going to see if they come near you.
