LP 81 w The Right Night & Barry White LP 87 w Glodean White - Barry & Glodean LP 81

This all gathered randomly in the wild over 20+ years of collecting.  Will have part 2 of this post next week with all the Love Unlimited Orchestra vinyl including the split movie soundtrack with them (other half with cool street tunes by Barry).  Had three copies of the classic everyone must have heard the first greatest hits vinyl that I remember first hearing on the way to our annual weekend-before-father's day river rapids canoe weekend at Flambeau River in WI that some had been doing annually for over 40 years while carpooling with some local MN friends the driver popped it in to make those miles roll by!  Just in time to play these songs on my little MP3 player with a cool speaker on it to play time to time in our trade show booth (tomorrow is my day) over in Orlando.  So glad Milton took a turn away from Tamps so the show could go on!  Whatever, whatever...  Yes, he too has a very cool record titled 'Beware' like my favorite tune by Al Green and favorite EP by Misfits.

Per Discogs:  Real Name:  Barrence Eugene Carter

Profile:   American musician, composer, and producer born on September 12, 1944, in Galveston, Texas, died on July 4, 2003, in Los Angeles, California. He began his career as a pianist and played on Jesse Belvin's R&B hit "Goodnight My Love". At the age of 11, White made several recordings under his own name as "Barry Lee" and as a member of The Upfronts, The Atlanties, and The Majestics.

Although White had some success as a solo artist, he found greater success as a background figure and manager of other artists, including Felice Taylor and Viola Wills. In 1969, he founded Love Unlimited, a female vocal trio consisting of Diane Taylor, Glodean James (his future wife), and her sister Linda. He also founded the Love Unlimited Orchestra, a 40-piece ensemble to accompany himself and the vocal trio, providing music direction, composition, and arrangement.

At the beginning of the new millennium, White's health began to deteriorate, and he died on July 4, 2003, in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 58 from kidney failure.
