I have never seen the movie - I don't need to see the movie. This is one of the greatest compilations ever. I listened to this non-stop and then looked for more music by the bands on the album. From there, I became the music fan that I am today.

Thanks W, Yeah Jim your comment confirms that this early record influenced some others at the time or must have such as the Replacements who were forming and used to cover that Only Ones tune that was on one of the Slim later day EP's. Now song is quite well know and this version is nice and raw with all the added 'bells and whistles' So I guess you'd say one punk rock generation removed from my 'Hardcore Generation" start by our other big local MN band at the time with Husker Du's "Landspeed Record" just like the 13th Floor Elevators first live LP with the "all seeing eye" is the beginning of Psychedelic Rock Movement of the Sixties. They also invented a whole added instrument so lets get them in the Hall of Fame or Hollywood movies like "Hardcore" that missed the boat shall we say by not including above?
