THE FUNNIES - SMILE! LP 73

 NEW BETTER RIP:  Thanks again to E.W. for cluing me into this one but that file he sent in was damaged beyond my repair capabilities and so, with 'I Woke Up In Love This Morning' cycling through my brain one day and afraid I would forget forever whose version I was singing, I decided to get one of the last 9 copies left on youtube for a proper rip.  Problem is while listening to it I couldn't help but think about that commenter on Discogs who wrote:  awhofan Feb 21, 2023:  This is NOT the Partridge Family nor Wrecking Crew. Doesn't Somebody Want To Be Wanted has some of the most over the top backing vocals. Smile is one of the first records I had as kid. Sadly this is really bad.  

However, I do remember a Princess free ship cruise adventure with the large family I came from all singing that Partridge family song at karaoke on night after dinner so the song for me has some sentimental value.  This was during the time that Nirvana broke as I also remember my little brother and I dancing barefoot with a couple of girls we met on the dance floor to that hit song by them.  Ha Ha
