I will post Jim H.'s comment as I did before: Unfairly lumped in with the post-Knack Los Angeles band fallout of the early 80's, but Code Blue were WAY more muscular and energetic. guitarist/songwriter/singer Dean Chamberlain was a founding member of the Motels and a shit-hot guitarist himself.

OH MY GOD, THIS ALBUM! The first time I ever heard "Whisper/Touch," I was a sophomore in high school and a local radio station had a "new Tuesdays" hour where they played new singles every Tuesday. It was the ONE time I ever heard the song on the radio, and I IMMEDIATELY jumped up and went "THIS IS SO GREAT!" and wished that I'd thought to tape it. Ah well, it didn't matter, because by that weekend, I had the album in my hot little hands. And even after all these years, it STILL sounds absolutely fantastic. What a great band! In a perfect world, they woulda been HUGE.
