TEENA MARIE - 14 GREATEST HITS CD 86

Her stuff is getting harder to find but this CD is a great compilation of her biggest hits, including yet another I have nailed from memory from the old 'Back In The Days Of Soul" KMOJ radio (where Prince used to intern) playlist on Sunday nights back in my University days.  That song opens up the CD and is called "I'm A Sucker For Your Love" so that make two songs in the last two months that have surfaced. From Discogs:  Real Name: Mary Christine Brockert

Profile: American R&B/Soul Singer, Songwriter and Producer.Born March 5, 1956 in Santa Monica, California, United States.Died December 26, 2010 in Pasadena, California, United States (aged 54).  Also Know as "Lady Tee" and "Ivory Queen of Soul", Mother of singer Alia Rose, .Godmother of Maya Rudolph and Nona Gaye.

Probably best known for her work on the Motown label during the late 1970s and early 1980s, and her 1984 crossover hit "Lovergirl".Introduced to Motown producer Hal Davis by her friend and occasional co-writer Mickey Hearn. Rick James produced and co-wrote various songs on her debut album Wild And Peaceful, duetting with Teena on three songs. Teena also duetted with Howard Hewett, George Duke, and Faith Evans. She contributed songs to the soundtracks for The Goonies, Top Gun, and Tap, and guested on Danny Tenaglia's 1998 album "Tourism" as a singer for "Baby, Do You Feel Me?".

Her R&B No. 1 hit "Ooo La La La" was sampled on Fugees's 1995 hit "Fu-Gee-La".
