I Was Going to Throw an album Request Next Week, But I'm Going to Start a Little Bit Early With This Single, I'd Like to Give This Guy's Background First Before I Put the Link There. Joe Lala, and I mentioned his in so many of my shows, and I’ll mention him again because his career is quite interesting and it’s great to document it, So Joe was one of the founders and percussionist of the band Blues Image that had the hit “Ride Captain Ride” after they broke up, He Joined the group Pacific Gas & Electric on their final album before they called it the quits, And was part of Stephen Stills Group Manassas and toured with them until their breakup in ’73, he also toured with Byrds before they call it the quits that year. And afterwards, he started doing studio work and as a studio percussionist, He’s played on countless records for artists such as Crosby, Stills Nash & Young and the individuals, David Crosby, Stephen Stills, Graham Nash and Neil Young, Rick Roberts, Firefall, including their hits “You Are the Woman” “Just Remember I Love You” and “Strange Way” Rick Derringer, Gene Clark, Chris Hillman of the Byrds, Poco, Dan Fogelberg, The Souther-Hillman-Furay Band, Bill Wyman formerly of the Rolling Stones, Bobby Womack, Rod Stewart, Neil Diamond, Chicago, Jay Ferguson of “Thunder Island” fame! Trooper, Allman Brothers Band, John Mellencamp When He Was Johnny Cougar, Jackson Browne, Joe Walsh, The Archers, Terry Talbot, Rick Danko of the Band, The Outlaws, Harry Chapin, Ringo Starr, Robbie Dupree, Joe Vitale, Jimmy Ruffin, Grace Slick, Henry Paul Band, The Hollies, Dave Mason, the Bee Gees hits “Stayin’ Alive” “Night Fever” “More Than a Woman” “Too Much Heaven” “Love You Inside and Out” and “Tragedy” Andy Gibb on all of his hits except the first two "I Just Want to Be Your Everything" and ("Love Is) Thicker Than Water" and outside of the Bee Gees and Andy Gibb, He also appeared on their writing/production credits which includes Barbra Streisand on “Woman in Love” and her Barry Gibb duet “Guilty” Dionne Warwick on “Heartbreaker” Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton on their duet “Islands in the Stream” I mean, his list is quite amazing, and during this time, he developed carpal tunnel syndrome, which effected his playing, therefore, he left music, and through his girlfriend at the time, Nancy Priddy, who is Christina Applegate’s mom, she got him into acting, and he appeared in shows like Miami Vice, Seinfeld, Who’s the Boss and General Hospital, and while at a saloon, giving out his homemade sausages, he meets a cartoon voice casting and voice director named Ginny McSwain, they soon fall in love and through her, he becomes a voice actor and his voice can be heard in Hey Arnold, What a Cartoon, Pinky & the Brain, Johnny Bravo, An American Tail: The Mystery of the Night Monster, Batman: Beyond, Samurai Jack, Static Shock, Ozzy & Drix, Jimmy Neutron, Monsters: Inc, Huntchback of Notre Dame II, ChalkZone, All Grown Up and W.I.T.C.H. Joe and her eventually married from 1996-2004 and despite their divorce, they remained good friends until his death. So He worked in show business until 2006, when his mother developed dementia and he left show business to take care of her, afterwards, he opened up an acting class, and also did on/off gigs with Firefall, which is kinda cool cause he played on a lot of their tracks, some music gigs he turned down cause of his mother, in 2013, his 96 year old mother soon died of dementia with him by her side, 2 months before she died, he was diagnosed with lung cancer and he eventually succumbed to it on March 18, 2014 at only 66 years old, This is quite interesting and I never knew about him till the last time I listened to Andy Gibb about a few years ago and I never knew he did all of these voices in cartoons I've watched! I'm looking for this single of his and I can't find it anywhere, I'd love to hear it! Thanks again!
