JOANIE SOMMERS - FOR THOSE WHO THINK YOUNG LP 62 w LAURINDO ALMEIDA - SOFTLY, THE BRAZILIAN SOUND LP 64

I notched her one tick above Connie Francis posted right below because she less known, these vinyl are really good too and kind of an unknown.  Here is what Discogs says:  American pop singer and actress (Real Name: Joan Drost) whose greatest success came with the 1962 release of the hit single, "Johnny Get Angry." Born in Buffalo, NY on February 24, 1941, she was 18 years old when Warner Bros. signed her to a contract in 1959 and paired her with Edd "Kookie" Byrnes on one of his singles. She also had a small role in "77 Sunset Strip", the television series that featured Byrnes in the role of Kookie. In addition, she sang on Byrnes' "I Don't Dig You" and "Hot Rock," which appeared on one of his albums.
