REPOST and ADD ON: Added the bottom three shown with the Westside Strutters counting as my disco album of the week...LOL!!! The first shown is the only actual recording of George per the comment that I carried over from that post. I guess I left off yet another version of the Rhapsody in Blue from Michael Tilson Thomas' album from 1976 as I remember it was in bad shape. Now the Glory of Gershwin CD from 1994 is contemporary artists doing his songs and the best! Includes: Peter Gabriel, Sting, Lisa Stansfield, Elton John, Carly Simon, Elvis Costello, Cher, Kate Bush, Jon Bon Jovi, Oleta Adams, Sinead O'Connor, Robert Palmer, Meat Loaf (rest in piece big fella'), Issy Van Randwyck, Courtney Pine and Larry Adler and George Martin. Enjoy!

Great Find.
He was born in 1898 and died in 1937 - of a malignant brain tumor. This CD likely collects the performances that were made as Piano Rolls. the only performances we have of his.
Love your site.
