ACE - Five-A-Side LP 74 w Time for Another LP 75 w No Strings LP 77

REPOST Request:  As you can tell from the first photo this is a classic British pub-rock band active from 1972-1977, formed in Sheffield and later relocating to the U.S.  Personally, I like the opener track 'Sniffin' About' has always been a classic track in my ears.  And here I always thought British pub-rock started near 1975 with Ducks Deluxe, Brinsley Schwartz, Little Bob Story and the others.

Best Known for Being One Hit Wonders With "How Long" (A Lot of People Think The Song Is About A Secret Affair the Girl Is Having, It's Actually Aimed at the Guitar Player of Ace Whom Was Secretly Playing With Other Bands) Paul Carrack Is the Lead Singer/Keyboardist of This Band. Of Course! He Went On to Become Part of Mike & the Mechanics and Sang on "Silent Running (On Dangerous Grounds") and "The Living Years" and Was in Squeeze Briefly and Wrote and Sang Lead on "Tempted" and Had a Solo Hit on His Own With "Don't Shed a Tear" Also Worked As a Studio Musician and Has Played With Eric Clapton, Roxy Music, The Pretenders, Elton John, Roger Waters and Many Others. Also, Paul, Along With Jim Capaldi and Timothy B. Schmit, Wrote the Eagles Comeback Hit "Love Will Keep Us Alive" Paul Is Not That Known, But His Work Is Sure Is. He Had an Interesting Story About Not Being Famous Where One Day, He Was Getting His Hair Done and the Barber Asks Him "What Do You Do?" and He Goes "I'm a Musician" and Then "Tempted" Happened to Be Playing in the Background and He Went "In Fact, I Sing That Song You're Hearing Right Now" and the Barber Goes "No You Don't!" And Paul Goes "Yes That's Me" and the Barber Talks Back and Goes "No You Don't! Paul Weller Sings That Song"
