EDGAR BROUGHTON BAND - MASTERS OF ROCK LP 76

From another blog: Radical, political, hairy freaks influenced by Captain Beefheart, Zappa, psychedelia, jazz, folk and the blues the Broughton's played a seminal part in the late 60's early 70's UK underground scene alongside Hawkwind and The Pink Fairies. Playing free concerts and benefit gigs nationwide and building a reputation for incendiary, intense and shamanic performances the Broughton's were a major influence on the anarcho-punk scene of the late 70's as well as one of the UK's most original, and now long forgotten, psych rock bands. Live performance was the mainstay of the band's reputation but they also left behind a half dozen studio albums that are astonishing for their creativity, musicianship and songwriting ability.

Great band. Saw Edgar Broughton twice (once solo and the other with the band). Met Edgar, spoke, and had a few pints with him. Down to earth and genuine bloke. Always has time for his fans. I highly recommend their Sing Brother Sing album.

Thanks Evil Twin! I searched for all their CD rips and took out passwords and blog calling cards to make it easy for those who are interested as I am. Thanks for chiming in and pointing me where to start. These Master of Rock comp.'s that I have posted for other bands in the past are usually not as good of pressings as this turned out to be....a nice keeper that will save me money on vinyl for him but I've said that before. Here is the link with all his stuff thanks to another foreign blog of which name I can't pronounce nor remember:

Thanks, I'll take a look at that link. I have pretty much all of their output but there is usually something I have missed. Or if there is anything not included that I have I am more than happy to share.
