Elvis Costello - 12 Stiff EP 77 w DZ EP 85 w My Aim Is True LP 77 w Live Toronto LP 78 w Pump It Up 7 78 w The Very Best Of CD 94 w Armed Forces CD Bonus 79 93 w Blood And Chocolate CD

REPOST and ADD ON:  Couldn't believe I had not converted one of my favorite albums by him the first one 'My Aim Is True" which I had recorded along with other album and bonus 7's I found on below post from my old buddy during Junior High School.  He had a pretty good stereo.  What I wrote before:

I still remember staying up late watching Fridays or was it some other live show on the small kitchen TV and seeing him do 'Pump It Up'.  It was 1979 and I already had recorded Gary Numan's 'In Cars' on a box tape player held up to a multiband radio--listening to it a million times and then seeing Elvis solidified my migration from AOR radio with this song that I also fetished on incessantly!

Not to nitpick your undoubtedly fantastic memory, but it was 1977 when Elvis appeared on SNL and was then subsequently banned for many years for changing gears/tunes. Or you could just look it up from time to time.

BTW it was the song 'Pump It Up" that I saw which was not banned and came later.
