CLIFF DE YOUNG - st LP 74 75 w CLEAR LIGHT - st LP 67

REPOST and ADD ON:  Cliff from the Shock Treatment soundtrack below, was also the lead singer of Clear Light--a band that opened for Jimi Hendrix and The Doors.  Not only that but he was an early star from the HAIR Broadway musical (see above) connecting it to the Hippie movement quite nicely.  Quite an interesting set of films he did as well.

I don't 'buy' records in a store anymore. Just stuff for you guys on Discogs. This one was a Goodwill find.

Clear Light was a fine band that unfortunately lasted for only one album, even with the benefit of a major record label (Electra) and producer (Paul Rothchild). I believe much credit for how great this album sounds can be attributed to Rothchild, who ended up producing The Doors first 5 albums and film soundtrack, as well as works by Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, The Lovin' Spoonful, Love, Rhinoceros, and Janis Joplin's final album Pearl. I became aware of Clear Light when I heard the memorable "Mr. Blue" on an FM "Underground" station. It was the time of hippies, the counter-culture, and make peace not war (Vietnam). That is how FM radio as we know it today got it's start because, depending on where you lived, it was previously the realm of only a couple of classical channels or nothing at all. FM also enabled stereo but most of us still only had mono radios at the time. At any rate, Clear Light is a classic album of the time (1967).

Does the link for Clear Light work OK for you there? Weird.
I get to the link itself but the download just goes nowhere.
Tried Chrome and Firefox. Cliff De Young download works fine.

The Clear Light download is still an issue. FYI
