You know I am scouring the lists to find the best for our collection and this one I saw mentioned in a comment from a little seen 'disco' facebook group that a friend got me to join. I have to say the tape from 1989 is simply a total overlooked classic so I listed it first. Was the first rip after getting back in town and really blew me away completely. She's Dottie In the Pee Wee Herman Movie and the Voice of Tommy Pickles in Rugrats
E.G. Daily "WILD CHILD". Some of you may be more familiar with E.G. (Elizabeth Guttman) as the voice of Tommy Pickles (RUGRATS), or as Buttercup (POWERPUFF GIRLS), or maybe you might know her as PEE WEE HERMAN's potential girlfriend Dottie in the film "Pee-wee's Big Adventure", but before most of that she had a #1 Billboard Dance Chart single in 1986 from this album entitled "Say It, Say It" (#4 Dance Club, #70 Hot 100, #71 R&B Singles). The follow up single "Love In The Shadows" (#14 Dance Club) didn't fare as well but did well in dance clubs and is considered a classic with the DJ's that played it back then. This album, however, was considered a commercial failure. She has a laundry list of films and animated voice-over roles since, and her recordings have been included in movie soundtracks including "The Breakfast Club" and "Summer School". E.G. broke back into the world of singing in 2013 when she was a contestant on THE VOICE, but left the show when she lost the battle in the Knockout Round. My copy of this album is a promo.
Ladies and Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains in 82 was the first movie I remember. Valley Girl in 83 was sort of her breakout.
