The band formed in 1969.

Grand Funk Railroad (also known as Grand Funk) is an American rock band that was highly popular during the 1970s. Grand Funk Railroad toured constantly to packed arenas worldwide. David Fricke of Rolling Stone Magazine writes "You cannot talk about rock in the 1970s without talking about GRAND FUNK RAILROAD!" The band's name is a play on words of the Grand Trunk and Western Railroad, a railroad line that ran through the band's home town of Flint, Michigan.

My older sister had this album. Although I was never a big GF fan, I remember being festinated by this record, Thanks for the chance to revisit it.

Primo 70s classic rock. Sadly management screwed them over. Not as bad as Jimi Hendrix got screwed over, but close. Saw them at the cow palace in san francisco in the mid 70s. I remember quite a bit of the show considering my frame of mind at the time.
Like many the first song I ever heard by Grand Funk was American Band. It wasn't long after I bought this album. Everyone I knew had it at the time. Along with every Zep, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Robin Trower etc album.
