Licht! + 7'' '89 post: i think you know i love EA80 and this album is for me the best they made. it's the lyrics what makes this so special and after the 3rd album, that was very dark and melancolic is this a brightside..really a killer!!! also for all you people out there who understands not a word. decide for yourself.

Petty Cool Comp, But the Lp's are still my favorites. This band deserves the production found on those,but still cool for completeness sake! I'd hate to have to track down all of the comps they were on...Besides I tried that, and sometimes the trax straight-out blow!

first heard about the German punk band EA80 a few years ago from my friend Mikki. It seems that I had forgotten about them for a while, but once again the band is on my mind with their new album "Reise".
this commpilation is much better,
shows EA80 as real punk rocker.

i know that AJZ in Aachen from a Van Hellsing Gig in February this year. small stage and a nice little audience in there, i think the right location for a EA80 gig. sadly i can't be there.

Actualley all songs are played by EA80.
Song 1. "Gladbach soll brennen" is a cover of the "Disco Zombies" song "Drums over London", released in '79.
It was recorded by EA80 in 1996.
Both other tracks are covers of the swiss band "TNT" recorded by EA80 in 2002.
The 1st 12 seconds at "Zuri brennt" is the original by TNT,sung by a girl, probably played by record, Aft5er 12 seconds EA80 start to play!
Maybe thats why it seems to be 3 different bands!

EA80 were large, are large and remain high....big fat thank you guys.

immer wieder gerne, ich weiß nicht wieviele bootlegs von EA80 es gibt doch eins ist sicher, keine sind so begehrt wie diese. Ihre Konzerte sind immer sehr gut besucht, damals wie heute. für mich die beste d-punk band ever.
