MARILYN - Despite Straight Lines LP 85

I put this first because I remember from high school dances the tune:  Baby U Left Me (In The Cold).  Here is an interesting Discog profile write-up:  Peter Anthony Robinson
Born 3 November 1962 in Kingston, Jamaica.
British/Jamaican pop singer and songwriter. Back in the '80s, Marilyn was one of Britain's most successful gender-bending rock stars. First a huge figure on the club scene, he soared to the top of the European, Japanese and Australian charts with hits like "Calling Your Name" and "You Don't Love Me". He also modeled for Jean Paul Gaultier and Vivienne Westwood. He became known to U.S. audiences when he appeared in the Band Aid video, "Do They Know It's Christmas?"

I LOVE THIS ALBUM! I had it back in the day on vinyl, and it still sounds just as good these days as it did 35 years ago. (I question the thing about Gavin Rossdale, though. From what I understand, it was Boy George from Culture Club who he had a relationship with.)

Absolutely love your blog. Going by your tastes and what you post, I figured you'd be a good person to whom to make a request for some Ed Barton. Like the Jane and Barton album, or any of his singles or eps from the 80's. Again, love your blog!
