DIRTY TRICKS - Dirty Tricks LP 75 w Night Man LP 76 w Hit And Run LP 77
REMASTER and REPOST of 75 LP: With some time off last few weeks I have learned better which vinyl REQUIRE a circular needle like the first LP here that I had just posted with elliptical rip. Last year was first year I used an elliptical needle (kicked ass on B-52's) and I noticed how some of the old records would skip on the first few songs with it/ I had been using my Stanton back-up circular for skips before that but now this week have used it on GROOVE WEAR or SOME NEW VINYL that is MADE for VINYL ENTHUSIASTS using low voltage CIRCULAR needles on high end decks. You know the ones using high inertia platters spinning from belt drives due to the buzzing sound that stepper motor direct drive tables seem to produce which I have noticed which is very minor to me. Since my Orotofon S-120 amp broke from my obsession to convert an old 78 RPM box set of Dinah Shore I will need to buy another since it is 10 mV and never has groove-fuzz issues.

2/3 of both of these albums are absolutely STELLAR examples of mid/late 70s hard rock. High batting average. Timeless material here, I would present. FYI, their first album was UK-only....below the standards of what would come but has alternate versions of some songs that would end up on "Night Man". All three albums were reissued on CD around 2005, went out of print w/in a year and now fetch pretty good money w/ hard rock CD collectors...

the sound of the eponymоus album of 1975 is just disgusting. I'm sorry if it sounds rude

Setgey thanks for bringing that up. I recently discovered my circular tip works better than the elliptical on certain vinyl so i will redo this as i was planning as well as thw Wildflower Reggae comp. Let me know as may be a few other but probably not as i have already changed my procedure. Thanks for comment

I posted above on these a few years ago....just reposting so anyone who is a 70s hard rock fan contemplating allocating time to hearing these...should do so. Again, as I mention above, the first album is fairly pedestrian and the followups that they band found their groove w/ 2/3 of the material on "Night Man" and "Hit and Run" truly stellar, high quality thumping pomp rock, 70s style.
