Hey! You are right, these guys were indeed fine. Nice surprise! I dig 'em. Upon initial listening my fave is agitated pop of "Back at the Plain of Jars". The first association outside general obvious ones (Gang of Four / R.E.M.) was Get Smart! album from the same era. I like "Open Season" LP as well, it sits nicely along Mofungo or Mekons on twin/tone shelf, not far away from Angst (SST) too.

Thanks for prompt re-up!

Wishes/hints for upcoming posts with your own nice fresh rips (320 kbps rules!) from cut-out bins:

Angst: 4 SST albums.
Slovenly: SST stuff, from vinyl preferably.
Get Smart!: Action Reaction LP, Swimming with Sharks LP.
The Embarrassment: The Embarrassment EP, Death Travels West ‎mini-LP, The Embarrassment LP ‎(1987, Comp)
Soul Asylum ‎– Say What You Will
etc.

Yours faithfully,

d.

I'd be grateful for a re-up. These guys were so no-genre and ungeneric - do those mean the same thing? Tripod jimmie vs the colourblind jame experience. No, thats not accurate, but y'know what i mean.

Thank you thank you! Great post-punk, and I haven't been able to replace my vinyl since my records went away in a move. Going to listen to all of them tonight. Yes!
