STRAPPS - st LP 76 w Secret Damage LP 77
REPOST Request: Seems this artist whether due to being Classic Rock or just the name gets regular repost requests. May have to look into the other 3 albums by them if interested. Any links out there?

Any chance on re-upping "Secret Damage"? They first one came out on CD...and they had a live one, too..but not the second(and stronger) one...totally under-rated album.

I'm a HUGE fan of this band, especially the "Secret Damage" album(their 2nd). THere are two other LPs that came out only in Japan, FYI. I have them buried away...can try to find them(I'm terribly UN-organized w/ my music, I'm afraid) and send them to you(along w/ others that may be of interest to you) to rip....reach out, if so.
Someone had posted yhose links...nit sure but yeah I've done rips for people before and would do it anyway to umprove quality if you wanted. Bruce send me an email like before and I can send my address. Cheers!
1 link is dead... please re-up
I think a lot of the interest around Strapps nowadays is due to their many connections to Deep Purple.
Strapps drummer Mick Underwood had played with Purple's Ian Gillan & Roger Glover in their 60s band The Episode Six. Glover produced Strapps debut LP which was recorded at Ian Gillan's Kingsway Studio, before Strapps then supported Deep Purple on their 75/76 World Tour. After the 3rd Strapps record came out, they toured the UK with the Ian Gillan Band, and when Ian disbanded the IGB the following year & formed his new band Gillan, Underwood became their drummer for what was a hugely successful late 70s/early 80s period for the band.
I really liked Strapps, they had an unusual mix of styles & were top-notch players who deserved to be far better known than they were. Instead history has sadly reduced their career to a foot-note in Deep Purple's illustrious history, but they made some great music & had notable success on their own terms, particularly in Japan.
