FREEEZ - I.O.U. LP 83 w EP 83 w Idle Vice LP 85

Another one of those 'missing link' bands in this case moving from following Grand Master Flash on the STREETWISE release which was redone when they moved to Beggars Banquet label and all made into one song sampling each song on the B-side of the EP until finally completing their great sound after spending some time on the Bau Haus label.  Great lost dance band...the kind I like with at least three releases and completely lost in time.

Idle Vice is a BRILLIANT album by Freeez. Only bass player Peter Maas was from the original line-up but this album followed a similar 'popy-funk' path to fellow former Brit-Funkers Level 42. All the songs are very, very catchy & sound similar to Duran Duran/Howard Jones/ Fashion in places with Maas's funky bass lines. Sadly the album went unnoticed by the general public not helped by the choice of the two singles from the albums which are probably two of the weaker tracks. After this the band split up.

Thank you very much for the download! There are a couple of tracks to go along with the album, the two Extended 12'' Versions of 'Train Of Thoughts' and 'One Second Chance' and also the other single from the album 'That Beats My Patience' with the two non album tracks off the 12'' version 'All The Way' and 'Tell Me What To Do'.

Any news on any other tracks featuring the vocals of Billy Crichton???
