REPOST: Since I forgot to include the Radio Show with Todd, I pulled all the old posts together for this repost, here is what I said last week: Well having not heard his music before, I started with the Hello People, then got my first Todd Rundgren in a double live album with one vinyl having Utopia backing band and the other having Hello People. Then I got his Wizard album since the facebook group Dangerous Mind which I religiously read claimed it a masterpiece. So now I got his first album which Angstytimelord (helpful commenter at DU blog) mentioned was her favorite and also found the cassette which just may be my favorite from him with the anthem 'Bang on the Drum all Day" and many other very good songs with great songwriting. Perhaps you could compare T.Rex to Todd Rundgren, Todd Rundgren to T.Rex as the 'Architects of Rock'. TR TR TR!

For extra fun with Mink..., try Todd's original track order that's printed on the back cover. It's a more varied listen that the published Easy/Difficult sides version.

Todd is, was, and always will be a LEGEND. One of the greatest musicians who's ever graced a recording studio. He's always interesting, innovative, and nothing short of utterly brilliant. Glad to hear that you're enjoying his music!

I LOVE this album. Though it's not my favorite Todd record (that would be "Hermit of Mink Hollow"), it's still great. Hell, anything this man does is great. I even like his albums that most people give a thumbs-down to. I'm one of the few people I know who actually liked "No World Order." (Come on, "Property" will always be one of his best songs!)

Yup, this album was an absolute game changer when I was a lad of 13. It stills sounds great to these old ears.

Hola.
