SHAUN CASSIDY - st LP 77 w Born Late LP 78 w Under Wraps LP 79
O.K. a little 'splainin' to do before Mark 'Creator' Underground gets on my gourd about keeping to the central theme of the blog that is New Wave and Punk...so I will lay the disclaimer that I made this rip collection on a nod from Angstytimelord to get these first three and hey...she's never wrong!

I would laugh... except I remember how happy I was to get Shaun Cassidy's first album on my 10th birthday!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I've been trying to find rips of these FOREVER, as my vinyl is long gone with the wind. I know that he's largely laughed at and considered bubblegum, but his music was just so much FUN! And .... he did a pretty credible cover of Bowie's "Rebel, Rebel" on his "Wasp" album in the early 80s. Nowhere near Bowie, of course (who is?), but not bad for a cover by someone who's known for bubblegum pop. He's also done a pretty decent cover of Ian Hunter's "Once Bitten Twice Shy."
Hey Julie, I was the same way! Only I was 13 when his first album came out. And I still love his music!
